Description
This beautiful car was part of a historic race at Brands Hatch in October 1971. In the final laps of the race there was a fight for first place between Jack Brabham and Colin Chapman that had you on the edge of your seat. Just as Chapman was about to cross the finish line after an amazing overtake, his engine blew leading to a third place finish below Brabham and John Surtees.
I was honored to see this fully restored classic take its first drive from the workshop it was completed in, across to Brands Hatch for the 47th Anniversary of this race. I had my stall set up in Bay 6 in the Pit Lane and spent the day with the owner.
A very slow 18 hours to draw due to the decals.
